Chef:

Innovative Downtown Manchester Transitional Living/Detox Program seeks a part-time Chef. The chef will be responsible for planning and preparing healthy meals for residents. He or she will be responsible for the cleanliness of the kitchen, dining area and food storage areas in all facilities.

Hours:  Wednesday – Sunday 10:30am – 5:30pm

Chef Responsibilities:

  • Plan and prepare healthy meals for residents
  • Prepare grocery shopping list based on menu and budget guidelines; purchase groceries from appropriate vendor
  • Ensure economical use of resources/food, including proper storage and use of leftovers
  • Take inventory and stock food and other related supplies as needed
  • Maintain high level of safety, sanitation and proper food handling procedures; attend related trainings as needed
  • Properly use and maintain all equipment and utensils
  • Train appropriate crisis site staff to fill in as needed
  • Ensure high level of cleanliness, safety, and organization in kitchen, dining area, and food storage areas
  • Maintain compliance with all federal, state and local regulations
  • Act as Fire Marshall for organization performing regular fire drills
  • Manage regular inspection of fire systems and kitchen area by City of Manchester and appropriate vendors
  • Oversee drink vending machine usage and drinking water delivery service
  • Report any safety, sanitary or other concerns to supervisor or CEO as soon as possible
  • Any other duties as assigned by the Clinical Director/CEO

Chef Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of related work experience
  • Understanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures
  • Comfortable working independently
  • Confidentiality a must
  • Positive attitude and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency in excellent customer service

Substance Use Disorder Treatment Facility seeks a full-time duly licensed clinician in its Outpatient Services Center. MLADC- LCMHC certification is required. At minimum, 3 years of experience in the addiction field with case management services, counseling, and the ability to facilitate group sessions preferred. Flexible hours.

Recovery Care Specialists (Multiple Positions):
Innovative Downtown Manchester Transitional Living/Detox Program seeks Recovery Care Specialists for various shifts.

  • 3:00pm – 11:30pm Women’s Transitional Living: Saturday – Tuesday (Female Only)
  • 3:00pm – 11:30pm Serenity Place Detox Unit – Monday-Friday

Recovery Care Specialist Responsibilities:
• Support individuals with addictions to achieve and maintain sobriety
• Communicate and teach basic living skills
• Record observations and documentation
Recovery Care Specialist Requirements:
• Basic computer skills
• Detail oriented
• Positive attitude and excellent interpersonal skills
• Superior communications skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Experience in direct care work is required. Candidate must be a Certified Recovery Support Worker (CRSW) or committed to acquiring this designation within 12 months of employment. Minimum requirement is high school degree or equivalent and background checks that meet agency standards. Some college work in the field of Addiction Studies highly desirable. Basic knowledge in area of addiction preferred.
